Safe Screening latest unveiled at the Recruitment Software show
May release
Launched at the start of the year, Safe Screening has caused quite a stir in the HR and recruitment marketplace, with full to capacity venues on their launch tour.
Whilst initial customers came on board, development continued behind the scenes. Based on customer requests and the development roadmap, the product offers even more benefits.
Safe Screening, version two, new and improved, has since been rolled out upgrading existing early adopter customers, but is yet to be publically showcased. Demos will be available of the latest version to those visiting the Safe stand at the Recruitment Software show by CIPD at Olympia in June.
‘The previous version went down a storm on our seminar launch tour, I’m excited to see what the market reaction will be now we’ve made the product even better’ Robert Drake, Director of Safe Screening told us.
With the new cloud based Safe Screening software product or outsourcing service, Safe are building upon over 40 years expertise in supplying software solutions in payroll, such as Safe EMS software, which will also be available for demo at the show.
The Safe stand looks set to cause a stir. To register to attend the show visit www.cipd.co.uk/cande/recex or to find out more about Safe visit www.safe-ems.co.uk or www.safescreening.co.uk.

Safe EMS Case Study - Haskins - download our pdf
Solution
By adding Safe Computing's Topaz EMS time and attendance functionality with HR and payroll software, together with Grosvenor Technology terminals, Haskins were able to increase efficiency and create an almost entirely automated system for all sites. Grosvenor Technology specialises in finger biometric clocking terminals and installed four RS09 terminals. These terminals are managed by ‘Custom Exchange’ a communication software solution by Grosvenor which offers a very easy and efficient process for the enrolment and distribution of staff fingerprint templates to the RS09 terminals. There are numerous benefits to fingerprint biometrics over other technologies. Cards can get lost and could be used by unauthorised personnel. Similarly, keypad codes can be forgotten or seen and then used by the wrong hands. In terms of recording time and attendance for correct payroll information, fingerprint biometrics means no person other than that specific employee can clock in or out of the system.

Modern day definitions of cloud computing vary, however accounts of the origin of the term seems the same. It is thought the term ‘cloud computing’ arose from schematics drawn by developers, where a cloud symbol would be placed around any web based portal which sent and received information to remotely based hardware and software for processing. From this perspective the term could be dated back to the 1990’s, however the label ‘cloud computing’ in relation to this has only sprung to life and the media recently, as increasing numbers of companies turn to web based solutions.
