Safe have pledged funds to support the Evergreen Care Trust by appearing in their annual charity ball brochure. The Evergreen Care Trust was established in Stamford in May 2005. The Trust is a registered Charity governed by a board of trustees seeking to serve older and venerable adults in our community by improving their circumstances through advocacy, friendship and practical support.  Evergreen Care is now established not only in Stamford and Bourne but has recently replicated their current model in Sleaford and Bexley, with an aim to expand this model into other areas of the country.

Richard Cleaver, project manager for Safe, has already raised over £9,000 for charity through his regular quizzes and is now looking to reach £10,000 with his latest one. With donated high end and high value prizes on offer, Richard’s latest quiz is a crossword styled cryptic clue set puzzler, which is emailed to those who wish to take part for a minimum charitable donation. Those who take part in this quiz could win £100 in high street store vouchers or a meal out in a number of different restaurants in Rutland and south Lincolnshire. With funds collected easily through Richard’s JustGiving.com page, http://www.justgiving.com/FoodQuiz2013, all donations go straight to Macmillan Cancer Support, who offer cancer victims financial, practical, medical and emotional assistance. The charity advertises some startling facts, such as one in three of us will get cancer, whilst two million of us are currently living with it, showing this is a very worthy cause.

A dozen of the ‘top 250’ UK recruiters are now ready for pension auto enrolment, having invested in a Safe and NOW: Pensions interface modular software solution. Pension auto enrolment is government legislation driven by HMRC. Everyone eventually working anywhere, if they meet the criteria, will need to be auto enrolled in a pension by law. Dates by when this takes effect vary, staged on organisational size. If you don’t know your staging date, there’s a list on the HMRC website. Some staging dates have already come into effect, however they continue to 2015 for SMEs and beyond for smaller organisations.
