WYKO chose Safe Computing’s Elite payroll and HR solution

WYKO chose Safe Computing’s unified in-house payroll and HR solution, Safe Elite Payroll and HR solution to replace the bureau service provided by Centrefile.

 WYKO is the UK's largest supplier of industrial goods and services of its type, with 200 branches located throughout the UK and an annual turnover of more than £250 million. Across its many divisions and areas of activity, the company offers a multitude of wide ranging industrial maintenance products and value added services including the repair, maintenance and overhaul of industrial plant and equipment. Technical innovation and customer support are the driving force behind the WYKO name. They currently employ approximately 600 weekly paid and 1,700 monthly paid staff.

The decision to select Safe Computing Elite HR and Payroll solution followed an intensive review of more than 10 different products and services. The review considered not only in-house solutions but also bureau services, outsourced services and fully managed payroll services. Graham Jones, Payroll Manager at WYKO explains “We needed to find a payroll and HR solution that could provide us with the flexibility we needed to accommodate our growing businesses. Following a number of company acquisitions, we inherited a variety of terms and conditions that we needed to serve. Our new in-house solution using Safe Computing Elite gives us the flexibility to accommodate these.

We are now one year on from first using Elite HR and Payroll solution and Safe Computing and WYKO have worked very well as a team to overcome all of the issues posed by the implementation. Elite HR and Payroll solution now produces a very complex costing report in minutes that used to take me nearly two days to complete in the correct format from the old system. We have also found that Safe Computing is always receptive to new ideas and suggestions regarding product development and we have already seen some of our innovative ideas included within the system enhancement releases of the product. Safe Computing Elite HR and Payroll solution provides us with a system that is easy to use and has improved our ability to provide comprehensive management reports. The in-house solution gives us the flexibility we need and has resulting in major cost reductions for our payroll and HR processing.” Graham and his team are now considering extending their use of the system by introducing automatic P11D production and developing their use of the comprehensive HR functionality that Safe Computing's Elite HR and Payroll solution has to offer.
